It’s been a while since I’ve posted a finished session on this blog. Between presents and turkeys I managed to finish up on two weddings. The first awesome couple I want to share with you is Loes & Stijn. Loes & Stijn, that you might recognize from their awesome urban eSession, got married on a sunny day in September. For the occasion Frederik Herregods joined me to take pictures of the grooms preparation and assist me during the shoot. The day started in Berchem, brought us deep into the harbor of Antwerp and ended in style at the very cool link21 location! Loes & Sijn, I had a very fun (and emotional) day shooting your wedding and I hope you enjoyed the special christmas delivery of your slideshow!

A big thank you towards Frederik. Frederik had the professionalism to shoot his pictures on my CF cards so I could do the post processing and ensure that the styles matched in the final slideshow, he also patiently waited to show any pictures on his blog untill I presented the final product to Loes & Stijn. I also very much appreciated that Frederik was not just there to fill his own agenda & portfolio, instead he was eager to help & learn. And most important, he’s a very fun & friendly and social guy to have with you on a day like that. And I would almost forget to say that he did a darn good job! Thanks!

Jou werk smaakt me altijd weer… Je voelt ontzettend goed bij het zien van de foto’s dat je dit met ontzettend veel plezier beleeft en dat is de “magie” van fotografie.

Inderdaad, een prachtig resultaat met een eigen kleurenstijl. Het geheim zit ‘m in je eigen enthousiasme en passie voor fotografie, dat werkt aanstekelijk. Als fotograaf ben je ook altijd wat psycholoog en bijv aan de foto met de familie op de trap in de achtergrond drukt dat heel mooi uit. Zonder passie was dat nooit gelukt. – Proficiat voor dit eerste professionele jaar! En wat Frederik betreft: ik zie niet echt foto’s van hem in deze post, maar alleszins is het bij mij ook meestal zo dat de foto’s van de assistent nog op de avond zelf onbewerkt op mijn laptop bewerken. Enfin, wat ik daarmee wil zeggen: hij heeft je wellicht ruimte gegeven om creatief te zijn, en da’s zo leuk als fotografen onder elkaar dat gunnen.
Prachtige foto’s van een knap koppel! Je wist al dat ik de foto met de hijskranen fantastisch vind, maar die moet de eerste plaats wat mij betreft delen met de voeten-achter-kapot-hekwerk foto. Die is errug kewl.
Mooie jurk heeft de bruid aan, trouwens.
These are really great photos. You certanly have a talent. Getting the best reults with wedding photography is so important – there’s no second chance. Congratulations on some great work
