After the first look and right before we left for city hall I just asked the couple to cross the street with me for a two minute mini-shoot. Used the sun to get me some flare.
Annelies & Emanuel got married in Antwerpen, and they decided they wanted to do their first look on “het zuiderterras”. It was real fun to see how the whole family just wanted to play along with our little scheme. I just love a first look like this, you can line up the family at the side or behind the couple so everyone is part of the moment AND captured everyone in one picture. Focus on the bride *CLICK* focus on the groom *CLICK*, capture the moment *CLICK*. Love it love it love it.
After city hall & the church ceremony we moved to Hof Van Nazereth for an awesome party!
Annelies & Emanuel I truly enjoyed being part of your wedding day and to have been witness to all those special & emotional moments. Also a huge thanks to your families for making me feel so at home!
I’m always very happy as a child when a couple chooses one of my pictures for their post-wedding thank you card. But I’m even more ecstatic when they don’t choose a traditional picture but rather a picture that defines “me” and “my style”. This picture was shot landscape but received a square crop in post production because I wanted to leave out most of the traffic on the left and right. Yet I have no excuse why I left out their heads. I shot it this way, it’s not that I don’t like heads, but I do know I like feet!
Disclaimer to future clients: I’ll also take a picture that includes your head 😉
